Patek Philippe & Co. is to watches what Rolls Royce is to cars— synonymous with the best. This prestigious Swiss watchmaking firm is arguably the most famous manufacturer of timepieces worldwide. To own a Patek Philippe watch remains a symbol of wealth and importance: kings and queens were their clients, while other watchmakers frantically copied them – imitation being the highest form of flattery, and moreover a means to a more lucrative sale with the help of the famous Patek Philippe signature. The Patek Philippe legend continues to grow and fascinate. The soaring prices achieved by Patek Philippe watches at auction—particularly within the last decade — prove to what degree these precious timepieces are sought-after by collectors. One collector paid $11,002,500 for a rare Patek Philippe pocket watch, thereby earning it a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records.

 

This gorgeous, men’s watch is a very handsome specimen and features a checkered outer track border, gold steel applied hour markers with BLUE STONES, blackening steel Patek-style filigree hands and a recessed sub-seconds dial with 60 second outer chapter and “sweep” steel seconds hand. The dial is decorated with high quality applied gold steel CALATRAVA CROSS at the center of the dial and blackening steel CROSS around this.

 

It is a registered design model that features a three piece YELLOW 23K GOLD-PLATED case that provides with glass cover of back lid. This watch was converted from pocket watch. The case, new custom made, fantastic, build of THE WANDOLEC ART STUDIO specially for this wonderful Patek Philippe movement. The lugs are in great condition while the engraved winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. The case has MINERAL glasses on the front and back side. The case is decorated HIGH QUALITY MASONIC ENGRAVING. The winding crown is decorated with CALATRAVA CROSS. The case is signed PATEK, PHILIPPE & Cie – GENEVE on the lateral bezel.

 

This beautiful wristwatch has the Original magic movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch and has been in addition updated and engraved by the craftsman. Each part of the mechanism, each millimeter it is decorated by a magnificent magic ornament. The bridges have in addition to extensive skeletonization have been gorgeously engraved as well.

 

On the front side of the movement, you can see the HIGHEST QUALITY ENGRAVING. Also it signed movement serial number #181.151. This serial number corresponds to the 1916 production date as per published records of PATEK PHILIPPE & Co.

 

On back side you can see HIGHEST QUALITY ENGRAVING.

 

The movement has BLUE STEEL SCREWS, TWO-PART WINDING BRIDGE, THREE FINGER BRIDGE, WINDING WHEELS WITH WOLF TEETH TRANSMISSION, END-PIECE of ANOTHER STEEL for the ESCAPE WHEEL, SNAIL (CLAMSHELL) MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING.

The bridge holds the escape wheel is furnished with an ANOTHER STEEL END PIECE. This end piece is used to minimize the axial clearance of the wheel arbor and enhances the precision of this important element of the escapement. End steel also protect the stuffs from dirt and dust.

The movement is signed PATEK, PHILIPPE & Cie – GENEVE. Also it signed movement serial number #181.151. This serial number corresponds to the 1915 production date as per published records of PATEK PHILIPPE & Co.

 

Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time, but vintage watches may contain replacement parts that are not from the original manufacturer if the original manufacturer no longer makes that part.

 

You can see from any direction the internal mechanics working as the balance wheel spins. They make an elegant statement on the wrist. Watch aficionados and laymen alike when they see a high quality skeletonized watch recognize its beauty.

 

It is fitted on a new Handmade of THE WANDOLEC ART STUDIO 24mm black genuine crocodile strap with gold steel buckle that is signed PATEK PHILIPPE & Cie – GENEVE and has a great vintage look to it.
